Anderson EastWhat bands are playing?

This is a blues festival, so we get the best blues-inspired artists. Anderson East will be headlining the event between sold-out tour stop with Chris Stapleton throughout the US. A full schedule of performers for the day will be announced in May.

East’s debut album on Low Country Sound / Elektra, entitled ‘Delilah,’ was released on July 10th, 2015. Before the release East started touring nationally in January 2015 as direct support for Sturgill Simpson. In addition to his own sold-out headline shows, he has toured with Brandi Carlile, The Lone Bellow, Jason Isbell, and John Butler Trio. “Satisfy Me” was the first single released off the record. It instantly went top 10 viral on Spotify and received regular radio airplay. NPR music called ‘Delilah’ an “eclectic, fully formed debut album.” Daytrotter wrote, “It’s one of those 10-song records that’s damned near perfect, traveling through the old, smoky bars of older days and down the twisted back roads of love.” On July 15th, 2015 East made his television debut on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” and also appeared on “CBS This Morning Saturday” in support of his album.

EverydayArts PavilionWhat’s the Everyday Arts Pavilion and the Front Porch Playground?

The EverdayArts Pavillion is a shaded oasis where kids can have fun while interacting with the arts and local non-profits and service organizations from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Participating organizations include: the North Liberty Community Pantry, the STEAM Room Fab Lab, the UNESCO City of Literature and the North Liberty Community Library, the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library & Museum, FRYfest, the Iowa Youth Writing Project, the Iowa Children’s Museum, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, African American Museum of Iowa, National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, Johnson County Community Partnership for Protecting Children, and North Liberty Porchfest.

The Front Porch Playground offers a variety inflatables rides and games for kids. The playground also plays hosts to a petting zoo and the Diaper Depot, where parents and babies can take a break in the shade, make a quick change, or grab some necessary supplies they might have forgotten at home.
